U.S. Interests in Cuba - Lecture by Former U.S diplomat John Caulfield.  He discussed how the Obama Administration will move forward in mending ties between the U.S. and Cuba and the complicated history between the U.S. and Cuba governments.

​China and Africa: Implications for the United States - Lecture by David Shinn, a former United States ambassador to Ethiopia and Burkina Faso.  He discussed China's infrastructure and financial investments in Africa and their predicted effects on the global society. 

La France et l’état d’urgence - Lecture by Justice Guy Canivet, member of the French Constitutional Council and honorary first president of the Cour de cassation, that is, former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court for civil and criminal matters, is the highest ranked French judge.  He spoke on terrorism, security and liberty in France and how terrorism has changed the French society.  He spoke of how this is causing the French government to make changes to the constitution of France to protect the citizens as a whole.

Japan's Contribution to Addressing Climate Change - Lecture by Japan Consul General Ken Okaniwa.  He spoke of global efforts to control environmental threats, how environmental change is funded and agreed upon between countries through the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).  

Nepalese Human Rights Activist Radha Paudel - Lecture about the program she started, Action Worlds of Nepal (AWoN).  The program instills social justice and empowerment for young girls through education, medical care and economic stability.  She left her government job to provide humanitarian relief to the impoverished Karnali district of Nepal.  She has survived earthquakes and terrorist attacks in her efforts to helping children. 

Museum Nights: Art Without Borders - Hosted by the Harn Museum of Art.  The night entertained traditional Greek dancer performance, campfire stories of world travel adventures shared among attendees, international poetry reading and numerous global organization tables educating on various cultures.
